Adam Kok

The well-known monument to the late Griqua chief, Adam Kok, is now undergoing renovation, and (says the "Kokstad Advertiser") the appearance of the structure is being so considerably improved that it is now worthy of the purpose it serves and of the fine position it occupies.
The memorial is erected over Kaptyn Kok's grave, and on Wednesday morning, a large number of Griqua's assembled at the spot to see the sepulchre opened before it is permanently sealed.
