A Seaward Flight by the Wright Brothers

At Manteo, North Carolina, the brothers Wright, the American aeronautists, yesterday covered 15 miles out to sea and back at a height of 1,000 feet, on their aeroplane machine, which was under beautiful control, despite a 10 mile an hour wind.

The use of words to describe new pastimes and inventions is quite interesting. "Aeronautists" for pilots and "aeroplane machine" for aircraft are two examples. The composition of new words continues into the computer world today with hundreds of new terms.
